Ahoy, mateys! (That’s pirate talk for 'Hi, friends.')

As the classroom pet of Room 26 at Longfellow School, I have experienced friendship, trouble, and surprises, but most of all: adventure!

I jotted down my greatest adventure last year in the World Book Day book, Adventure According to Humphrey. But I was in a hurry and I left out a lot of the very best bits. I’ve written out the whole story in More Adventures According to Humphrey and it’s now ready for you to read!

The unsqueakably best part (a wonderful surprise) wasn’t in the previous book. I think you’ll like it as much as I did. So set sail for adventure and READ-READ-READ!

Being a classroom pet can be very entertaining! Just the other day, something happened that had me chuckling so hard, I had to crawl into my sleeping hut so I didn't disturb Og and my fellow students.

Here's what I heard:

Mrs Brisbane: 'A. J., how do you spell 'crocodile'?

A. J.: 'K-R-O-K-O-D-I-A-L

Mrs Brisbane: 'No, that's wrong.'

A. J.: 'Maybe it's wrong, but you asked me how I spell it!!!'

A crocodile is a fierce and dangerous creature ... and it's not an easy word to spell, either!
