Don Paterson awarded OBE :
Don Paterson, a former winner of the T. S. Eliot Prize and a Whitbread Prize for Poetry, has been awarded an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for services to literature. Paterson is the author of four collections of poetry and, most recently, The Blind Eye, a book of aphorisms.
