Faber and Faber in the UK and The Perseus Books Group in the US, two of the world’s leading independent book publishers and distributors, have announced a new joint venture company to provide a suite of global digital services for independent publishers based in the UK, Ireland and Commonwealth.

Faber and Faber is the first UK publisher to partner with NetGalley, the innovative and easy-to-use online service and connection point for book publishers and professional readers. Under the terms of the partnership Faber will release secure digital proofs of their titles through the US-based website to reviewers, booksellers, librarians and bloggers in the UK and internationally.

Bloomsbury and Faber announce Drama Online – a new partnership to provide online access to the world’s finest drama from the last two and half thousand years.

Bloomsbury Publishing Plc and Faber and Faber Limited will launch Drama Online in October 2012, creating a digital content platform for libraries, educators, students and researchers to be sold via subscription and perpetual access to academic institutions.
